About Marleigh Textile Company

Founders of Marleigh Textile Company, LLC holding a beautiful fat quarter bundle

Hi! We're Ann-Margaret & Leigh — sisters, makers, fabric lovers, and the team behind Marleigh Textile Company.

Marleigh Textile Company started from a shared love of making things by hand and the creative community that grows around it. Sewing and quilting have been part of our lives for decades, and what began as a passion for fabric, color, and creativity slowly turned into a dream of building a space where other makers could feel inspired, supported, and excited to create.

The name Marleigh comes from combining our names — "Mar" from Ann-Margaret and "Leigh" from, well… Leigh. We chose "Textile Company" instead of simply "fabrics" because we dream of growing beyond quilting cottons in the future to include yarns, needlework supplies, and other creative textile arts.

We're a small shop run by just the two of us, and our different creative styles are part of what makes the shop special.

Ann-Margaret loves funky fabric combinations, scrappy quilts, foundation paper piecing, and usually has multiple projects happening at once. With a background in costume design and accounting, she's equally happy organizing numbers or mixing unexpected fabric collections into something whimsical and beautiful. She also loves crochet, paper crafting, and occasionally creating costumes for local dance programs.

Leigh is a true maker through and through. One of her favorite sayings is, "Makers gotta make," and honestly, that sums her up perfectly. She's an incredible bag maker, loves classic patchwork, and is always building or creating something — whether it's with fabric, wood, or anything else she can cut apart and put back together again.

Together, we created Marleigh Textile Company to help quilters of all skill levels feel confident choosing fabrics and starting projects they'll truly love.

We know how overwhelming quilting can feel when you're first starting out. Picking fabrics, understanding quilt patterns, choosing the right tools — sometimes the hardest part is simply knowing where to begin. That's why we focus on curated kits, bundles, beginner-friendly education, and fabric inspiration designed to take away some of that decision fatigue.

We want our customers to feel inspired when they shop with us. We want you to feel excited to start a project, proud to show off what you create, and comfortable asking questions along the way. Most of all, we want you to feel like you found your people here.

Our style leans vintage, whimsical, colorful, and texture-filled — with a healthy appreciation for handmade charm and a little sarcasm mixed in for good measure.

We're based in the small town of Yulee, Florida, near beautiful Amelia Island. Right now, Marleigh Textile Company is an online-only shop — but opening a brick-and-mortar store is very much part of the dream. We're working toward it, and we can't wait to one day welcome you through our doors in person. Until then, we're proud to ship orders within 1–3 business days — meaning your package is actually on the way, not just sitting with a printed shipping label waiting to move.

Creativity, community, and handmade culture are at the heart of everything we do.

As Marleigh Textile Company grows, our vision includes expanding our educational resources through tutorials and YouTube videos, continuing to build a welcoming creative community, and helping more makers discover the joy of creating something beautiful with their own two hands.

Whether you're making your very first quilt or your fiftieth, we're so glad you're here.

Welcome to the family.
