Fireglow Layer Cake by Sarah Watts for Ruby Star Society

A layer cake is the fastest route from “I want a dragon quilt” to an actual dragon quilt. This one has 42 10" squares in the full Fireglow range: coiling dragons, curling smoke, scales, and scrollwork in poinsettia, coral, watercress, mint, and galaxy teal, with oyster neutrals mixed in.

The squares are already cut and already coordinated, so you skip the most tedious part. They suit simple patchwork, quick quilt tops, and any pattern that calls for 10" squares. Pick a pattern that shows the prints off, because these dragons don’t want to be chopped into confetti.
